General Discussion / VCCT 2 - The Command List

Vice City Clan Tournament 2

We shall be using the script that was used in the last VCCT since a lot of people told me that it is the most suitable script for what we are planning to do, a clan tournament.

The script, as most of you who actually care would know it, is called "NaPalm Tree A/D". Now obviously there'll be some minor changes added to it to fit VCCT's atmosphere but it's perfect enough related to other aspects of it.

These commands may be used by the fighters during their play:
(/c):
  • gun
  • t
  • v
  • switch
  • set
  • setlist
  • teams
  • scores
  • base
  • stats
  • pass
  • view
  • credits
  • help
  • cmd

The admin commands are posted in a specific section.

General Discussion / VCCT 2 - Rules

Vice City Clan Tournament 2

Rules:

• All bugs are allowed besides no-fall. If you call someone out on using the no-fall glitch, they should allow you to shoot them with a shotgun in the Spawn Point before starting the next round. If caught no-falling, the player doing so will immediately be banned from the tournament and any rounds he played in will be considered as forfeited.

• Matches are played in the format of 3 rounds attacking and 3 rounds defending for each. You decide on whether to play random or chosen bases. If you cannot make a decision, you play random.

• point b) Under random base rules, one base is chosen at random and both teams play it. The team that defended the last base first, attacks the base after that first.

• Infinite subs are allowed trying avoid having to play 3v3's but none are actually required.

• The Ping-limit is 450 ms.

• Sliding is not allowed.

• Altering of FPS; modded files which give you an advantage over others and such related files are NOT allowed. If you are found to be using them, your entire team will be disqualified from the tournament. We WILL detect them if you use them, don't you worry about that.

Vice City Clan Tournament 2

Most may know this event because they’ve participated in it already about a year ago, then being named just “Vice City Clan Tournament”. From what I heard, this event turned out to be extremely successful and having deepened with Charleyutton into a conversation about this, he decided to hand me over the responsibility of organizing it since him and Zegro are both occupied with real life at the moment. I’m not saying I’m not occupied either, it’s just that I have more time than both of them together to organize something like this.

I had done research on the clans which VC:MP had and according to my statistics, there is many clans which either split up or just disappeared into deep sand for some reason. Still, many clans stand strong until this day, to mention that one of them is the clan on whose forum I am posting right now.

The slots, players per team and other conditions will this time be lower. The current scope for VCCT 2 is 6 clans, playing with 4 players in each. Infinite substitutes for each clan are allowed but not obligatory, also the minimum amount of players a team can have is 3, leading it to a 3 versus 3 battle. Note that if you have less than 3 players on the day of match you will be considered knocked out and you will be disqualified instantly.

Now: How is VCCT 2 going to be played?
The 6 chosen clans (teams) will be split into 2 groups of 3 clans (teams) each and the team with the lowest points in a group after a successful chain of matches will be knocked out.
Then, the second place in Group A will play against the first place in Group B and vice versa. The Finals will be between the Winners of those 2 matches. A clan can submit a maximum of 2 teams (each team counts as one basically, which will have to play in turns - such as T1 one match, T2 second match).
Signing up your teams will be done at the VU Forum, in the VCCT Section ONLY. The rules and other related info will be posted in this same board. Thank you for your attention,

-   Morphine.

This outline has been written by ULK.Zegro and edited a bit by me so that the smartest here can understand.

General Board / Match Results

<@ViceWar-Bots> Event is over. Final scores: Blue - 7166, Red: 6781
<@ViceWar-Bots> 12 Thanks for competing.

Here goes the final score after the 24 hours (with over 9000 crashes) everyone's played for each team. Both teams were outnumbered at times and both managed to lead each other by quite a lot of points but the blue boys took lead in the end. The crashes were quite annoying but gladly everyone was dedicated enough to stay until the end. Only about 2 players were banned from the server for various reasons which is quite a low number and it should stay that way next time.

I think the Sea Sparrows shouldn't be included in the next times (if there will be any) either since Red had quite the advantage in the beginning. Drive-by should have been disabled too since there was some complaints.

Anyway, I thank everyone who participated in the event because this was probably the best event VC:MP has had so far. Good job Team Red and of course Team Blue. :)
P.S. I'll upload a short video I took from ViceWar soon.
