The BOOT.ini file was gonna do the job.
This is where all the OS'es are stored you can change ur default OS from there too and alot of crap.
Anyways to get to the Boot.ini right click My Computer >> Advanced >> StartUp and Recovery >> Settings (WIN XP)
And for win 7 idk where to find it 
Or u can just type BOOTCFG /? in the Command Prompt.

Windows 7 doesn't use the boot.ini it uses a boot sector that loads a boot manager. I've managed to work around it by installing a new copy of windows 7, then using system recovery cmd prompt to replace the new files with the old ones (which were thankfully saved).
Outlawz, I need to use XP as it's required to run a bit of external hardware I use, that 7 doesn't seem to be able to do. I'm gonna give this another go, using a different tactic. So now I've fixed my pc, it might be broken again in about half an hour
(At least I know how to fix it this time)
