hi there, something has been happening with my game lately
if i try to connect to a server, i see on the masterlist a 90-120 ping at max
when i join a server, ping is still same while unspawned or while being in an un-crowded are
as soon as i join a fight, my ping spikes to 4k+ for like half a minute and then restores to 90 for few seconds..
this is mostly happening in vc-mp, tried with samp ping went to 400 max not 4k
tried minecraft few hours ago with tobio and ping was under 100
i want some expert help i want to be able to play the game like the old days, not go afk every while cause of internet problems..
-Thanks in advance
-Edit: i use the ping (ip adress) -t in commandline and said my average ping was 35 so idk whats the problem with vcmp, already changed 4 isp

You use a WiFi network to connect?
-
yes i use wifi, even if i use ethernet cable it still would spike like to 600
-
MIMO btw you shouldn't use WIFI for gaming if you want a stable connection.
However, do you use windows 10 ? :D

yes windows 10 too
ill start using ethernet, but i dont want to reset to windows 7, i have too many data i dont wanna lose

It's packetloss, maybe, try looking at network statistics via F6 when it occurs, or maybe you've got slow speed Internet?

If this started happening since installing Windows 10, then:
In order to insure that you don't have high ping with Windows 10 you must turn off "Update from more than one place". You can find this in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update Advanced Options, Choose how updates are delivered, and then switch to off.
Actually just turn off Windows Update I think.

I've been using WiFi for ages. My ping is always stable. 130-150.
Situation is different when somenody starts downloading or watching something.
On topic: this thing happens to me when as well but in rare conditions. Like when something is being downloaded or watched. My ping still goes high to 3/4 hundred. Not sure what is causing it for you.

I dont have any problems with that option. It never causes any ping spikes unless it starts downloading the update.
Its most likely about the area you are at.Something must have interfered with the connection.I would suggest you to make sure you reach out to the full capacity of your internet speed (cables) and check your modem.Modems are usually the blame for such things.

thanks everyone, ill try everything u suggested
-
If that doesn't help, buy a new router. Really.
-
ethernet cable and turning off updates gave me a good ping that wpuldnt spike over 400-500
its still better than 4000
and ye ill consider buying new router

Removing windows does not means you remove all of your games lmao
Create partition and store your games, then you can remove windows 10 and install any other OS without disturbing your data.
Google it and enjoy.

Try this,
https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/4y2ncr/if_you_have_windows_10_and_you_have_lag_spikes/
Instead of new router I suggest you to first try it in a new PC, which have windows 7 installed or other. Then check your ping.
