Greetings everyone, I've been facing an issue since the past two weeks and I did everything but nothing worked;
whenever I open my vice city, I can only hear the ambience, none of SFX effects, cutscenes, radio stations work even though the audio folder is untouched, I downloaded the same folder from a trustworthy source, but didn't work, I can only hear the sound of water or the city ambience. I'd like to hear your opinion about this problem so I can fix it because in fact, playing vice city without sound is a pain in the arse.
EDIT: Cutscenes and radio work, just tested them now, but SFX still doesn't.
2xEDIT: changed audio hardware option to "rad game tools RSX 3d audio" the game lags a bit but I will think I will get
used to it since sounds work.
3xEDIT: GTA3 works fine and I don't want to stick to RAD because it literally sucks.

Already did, I even deleted "gta-vc_set" or something like that. The problem seems to be related to audio driver, but there is no hardware problem fortunately, I have doubts that it has relation to some new program installed by my father called "reimage PC repair" The program itself says that "gta-vc.exe" is a malware :D
I am going to do some tweaks to it and see if it works.
EDIT: deleted the program, didn't work

Maybe "reimage PC repair" deleted your some files from VC & still it's deleting because PC repair thinks its a malware.

The audio folder is untouched, checked it by myself and even downloaded another VC legit copy from some GTAForums friends , didn't work. It is an audio driver problem (hardware is fine, the problem is in the game) I think it is because of a corrupted OS, I'll see if I can recover in XP.

Actually I searched in google for 3 hours, found nothing, asked my GTAForums and so, they told me this is the first time they encounter a problem like this and then someone (probably a rockstar employee) helped me and gave me this link.
Indeed, it was a useless QnA as I kept repeating the same thing over and over...
