Group Stage Information

Stage 1
Groups

In the group stage, 128 fighters are organized into 32 groups, each containing four people. Each group undergoes its own round-robin tournament to determine the best two players within each group.

Fighters, you have been placed into groups with random seeding. You may complete your assigned matches in any order, but it is your responsibility to complete them in a timely manner.

Find your group here.

At the time of your match, have any VCDC Admin or Referee administer your match. Contact information for referees and admins can be found here.

You will play exactly one match with each other person in your group. If you'd like a list of matches, you can find them in the Group Standings thread.

Matches conducted without an admin present are invalid.

Conducting Matches
You will play a match with each player in your group.

Each match consists of three sets. First to five will be considered, which means whoever touches the score of five first would be the set winner. Here's the breakdown:
  • Match (an arranged game with a player in your group with three sets).
    • Set (Until one player wins five duels)
      • Duel ( a single round that ends when an opponent is killed)

Players must start each duel with 100HP and 0 armour.
Players must adhere to a countdown intitiated by the referee in each duel.

Scoring

At the end of the group stage, the top two players from each group advance to the knockout stage. The group standings are ranked by matches won. If the matches won are same for two players, the number of duels won is used as a tie breaker. If the points are still tied, the player who won in head to head is selected as a higher standing.

Starting a Match
  • Join the server you and your opponent will be dueling on.
  • Admins will use /newofficialmatch and use /addblue to invite your opponent to join.
  • Official matches to be started by referees not the players.
  • For practice match, simply use /newmatch and invite your opponent by typing /addblue <name>.

After completing a match, admin/referee will go to group result thread and reply with this form:
