Broken PC D:
« on: September 28, 2010, 01:54:10 pm »
Due to a random power loss during a spyware doctor process, the registry on my pc has been corrupted. I'm trying to fix it but it isn't looking good. I'm on my dads lappy atm, which won't run VC (it's really shit). So I might not be ingame for a little while.

how come you just can't make a new limited account on your pc instead of trying to use doctors n shit trying to fix your administator account...  ???

Or is it just the pc alone???

Using spyware doctor you can remove shit from your computer which shouldn't be there.
This scans your registery and removes shit from it. But when that goes wrong (with a power cut for example) it can corrupt your registery and your computer wont work anymore (atleast Windows doesnt). It doesn't matter if its the Administrator or some other User. Registery = Registry.

Too much porn eh? :p

Anyway yeah I can't access windows, I tried manually editing the registry using the windows setup disk but before I can get to it it gives me a blue screen of death. Looks like I'll have to reinstall the os which should be fun seeing as i've lost my motherboard cd and all my driver cds :p Oh well I'll give it a go.

Edit: - Fixed :D After about 4 hours of manually restoring my registry and fiddling with the hardware I managed to fix it.

LOL heres a tip:

Download any OS from PirateBay or ISOhunt from your dad's laptop, upload it on a SONY CD DISK (its inportant to be on a CD), than, insert it on your broken PC, start your PC, press F11, select: Boot from CD/DVD, and than you will be in the Windows installer :P

Good luck!

LOL , he already fixed it. FAIL ^  ;D
