In VCMP's realm, they doth reign,

I would like to have you back in the clan. Though, my current vote is no.

If you are willing to fix the below issues, I vote T.
If you prove you have already fixed these issues, I vote Rookie:

  • Admit what is your favorite BEST SERVER IN VCMP?
  • You trash talk and act like a clown at all times. Never seen a meaningful, intelligent sentence coming from you.
  • Stop raging.....that doesnt mean go mute and ignore everything. Be a reasonable person.
  • Improve in teaming up. Contribute in team sessions, strategy discussions, join voice chats, be more than an average remote nading brawl voter.

Playercount: It's fine but not going to increase in the future from my POV because often too hard for new comers to understand the gameplay and learn some basic fighting skills.
That's quite true. If we evaluate how VCMP got its current playerbase:

1) Most of us come from a RPG background: Argonath or VCCNR. I think these servers are somewhat easier for a newbie to start with. Because you don't get a Stubby to the face on spawning.
Argonath has declined in recent years, causing a choke on incoming new players.
RPG servers need some love.

2) Some came here through a friend who taught them everything in VCMP. This takes a lot of hand holding, which is easier from an internet cafe to be honest.
Cafe players are looked down upon and insulted. There are not many mentors around anymore. This has to change.

3) LWs, VKs, GBoyz, EC. Traditional TDM servers. To be honest, I havent seen many newbies who start playing here and stay long enough as Hazard mentioned. They used to before, but not so much now. What has changed?

Perhaps admins are too strict on newbie hackers? We see someone flying around in god mode, it's an easy ban. With the UIDs available to us, that newbie is gone forever.
It's the natural chaos loved by GTA Players. We do that on GTA Single Player - demolish everything and make sprees on cops. A lot of players in their history mention "hacks", "bans" and general "fooling around" they did when they were kids. But the new kids don't get that chance due to improvements in administration.
This has to change. It's just a kid who's trying to have fun.

4) Round bases DM servers VCAD, KotH, RTV, CTF: These game modes are just not the place for noobs. They are impossible for newbies to understand and their presence ruins the balance of teams. Right now they are the most popular servers on the masterlist, so it's hard to get new players. I can't think of anything to fix that.

Good finding guys! Shotgun is easily fixable.

I went through this topic and realized:
- Shotgun bad sync happens due to Reload Speed as Spiller mentioned
- Stubby has no problem according to Hunting.

Its known that all these values are defined in weapon.dat which can be modified in server settings. So, I checked the ReloadSpeed values of both weapons
Stubby is 250
Shotgun is 450

I changed shotgun's ReloadSpeed to same as Stubby:

SetWeaponDataValue(19, 4, 250)
and the results are amazing!
Shotgun is syncing on every rapid C-Glitch shot. There is no other change in that I noticed, though you can test further.

I'm not sure if the hack exists, but if everyone is enabled to make those rapid C shots, it would practically become useless.

The idea:
KotH is best played between 2 balanced competitive teams. It supports many match sizes: from 3v3 to 20v20. They can be fun to play and watch, as long as the teams are well matched.

However, there hasnt been many such matches since the release. So, we wanted to host a very small event before we feel confident to host a tournanament/league.

The All Star Draft was suggested by Lederhos to have the community form the teams. We hope the community voting shows some sportsmanship, so that players are split in red and blue teams with a balanced skillsets.

King of the Hill
All Star Draft Match



The All Star Draft is a one match event for King of the Hill.

Two strong teams will be formed in the draft through public voting. The community will vote on players to be selected in Red or Blue team. The highest voted players get to play in the match.

This is a community driven event, where teams, players and bases are all selected by the community in public voting.

On a serious note, let's discuss some technicalities.

Vice City's weapons.dat (https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Weapon.dat/GTAVC) file defines the weapon attributes. What you mentioned is defined in attributes
#   R: animation loop start
#   S: animation loop end
#   T: point in animation where weapon is fired
#   U: animation2 loop start
#   V: animation2 loop end
#   W: point in animation2 where weapon is fired
#   X: point in anim where we can breakout of anim/attack and run away

R,S,T is standing animation
U,V,W is crouching animation.

VCMP has a default weapons.dat file, which is loaded on connect. So, all players use the same values.
These values can be controlled by server owners, but they will impact everyone on the server. Example, Stubby animation was faster in Vice War 9:


What Hunting described in 1st shot.....2nd shot misses is:
Shotgun will only fire in the default fire rate defined in RSTUVWX attributes. Even if you C glitch too fast, the shots will not appear to other players. VCMP does not sync the shots that happen faster than the defined timings. This timing is same as when you just stand and hold the fire button.

Now here is a skill (I first saw Noori doing this) that can be used:
1st shot while standing (uses R,S,T anim values)
2nd shot while crouching (uses U,V,W anim values)
3rd shot while standing again.
and hence, when you alternate shots standing/crouching you can achieve a higher fire rate. Players do this all the time while standing in place and doing double/triple shots. Maybe, it works while moving in between shots too?  :o

Regarding hacking:
Maybe hackers found a way to modify their weapon.dat file read by VCMP. But ideally, that should put them at a disadvantage. They modified THEIR OWN weapons. Not YOURS.
Example, if their shooting animation is faster, then your shooting animation in their screen would also be faster. So, if you think someone is hacking...try doing ghost shots like in 0.3z. If they hit them, that would confirm that it is faster.

The hardest challenge for clans is longevity - The test of time.
Every clan will have good and bad moments, but to persevere them and stand strong consistently is the biggest achievement.

1) EAF - The oldest clan in VCMP right now(or is it DU?). They have always been a strong team and won some (2?) AD Leagues. In fact, they are a Argonath gang and have always dominated the criminal scene in the server.

2) VU - Always been consistently one of the best clan in the last 10 years. A couple of trophies in team events. We have seen a lot of our best players grow and move out to form their new clans and identities.

3) MK - They are older than VU, but I place them on 3rd because of lack of team trophies. They are a top clan and has had 2 VCDC winners as their members.

4) TLA - Should have been #1 in my list if it was still called SS. No doubt the strongest team in VCMP.

5) RT - Very strong clan with decent leadership and consistent activity. I hope you keep up with recruitment, because losing members to other clans or inactivity is inevitable.

KotH best. Actually, me and GangstaRas planned everything in the mode by looking at the good things and bad things in CTF, TDW, RTV and EAD.

- Player Count: Supports interesting and balanced 1v1, 2v2, 3v3.... 20v20 bases of all sizes. Bases play according to server player count. It's easier to start parties here.

- Comeback Mechanics: Team losing 240-0 can still get their shit together and come back with one good push.

- Shit and Funny Bases: Boat action, Sea Sparrows, Hunters, Drive Bys that drops the skill gap in VCMP and is fun for casual newbies.

- Combat Fluency: No stopping or pressing keys to capture the objective. Capture zone in full combat with unrestricted movement.

- Dynamic TDM Intensity: The respawn delay (editable for each base individually) allows us to control the intensity of DM. Slowing the chaos in big crowd, or pacing up the action in less players.

You recently came back from inactivity, so we don't know much about you. I see good signs from your collaboration with the Pharaohs and you have nice skills.
