But, as many people have found out, you can spend a year in India and hardly scratch the surface.
That is quite true. I mean, I've been living here since 21 years and visiting an out of town place makes me feel like an international tourist.
Imo, the most popular tourist spots in India have degraded. The natural beauty of the places has been destroyed by markets, temples and hotels. Though the preserved spots are still good. But during a good season the crowd just stacks up.
There are lots of unpopular places which look better to me personally. But unlike me, if you are more interested in people, culture and lifestyle then what a traveling agent would suggest is a good bet.
