Are there any good mappers here?

If so, please, please, please make a cyberpunk style custom map we can play on.

Is it even possible? I don't really know how flexible VC:MP is in terms of lighting.

Maybe it could be an opensource project, or one with a central coordinator and a few people helping out?

My suggestion: start with just an alleyway, maybe use one of the alleys behind the hotel in Vice Beach.

in conclusion - never did waste much time on it, but it definitely seems like a very worthy idea

2dfx vcmp support when?

if you want to see those neons from miles away, you need 2dfx, you can do it in singelplayer, but in multiplayer you get banned for 2 months reason hack detected with no chance to get unban  :D :D :D hhhh ripp

Afaik you can increase the max draw distance using a custom timecyc, I haven't really tried this but I'm pretty sure this works.
So yes, this is most likely completely possible.

So yes, this is most likely completely possible.
I don't think any custom timecycle will render it like this:

I really don't know, if there are such timecycles that make it look this beautiful and shiny, ( and make lights appear at night, which is the main objective for this topic )

then 2dfx mod is useless.
nevertheless, I look forward to seeing your attempt to recreate this mod's features by a custom mvl timecycle.
