I feel like people like you forget this is VU clan forum after all, just because everyone hangs about in here doesn't mean this forum isn't an appropriate place for topics regarding the clan itself, now go ahead and get the fuck out before I show you myself the door.

Player Discussion / Re: 16 Personality Types test
« on: January 12, 2019, 12:50:59 pm »
Logician

I'll also attach the description as I find it interesting:

Quote
The Logician personality type is fairly rare, making up only three percent of the population, [...] Logicians pride themselves on their inventiveness and creativity, their unique perspective and vigorous intellect. Usually known as the philosopher, the architect, or the dreamy professor, Logicians have been responsible for many scientific discoveries throughout history.

[...]

They love patterns, and spotting discrepancies between statements could almost be described as a hobby, making it a bad idea to lie to a Logician. This makes it ironic that Logicians’ word should always be taken with a grain of salt – it’s not that they are dishonest, but people with the Logician personality type tend to share thoughts that are not fully developed, using others as a sounding board for ideas and theories in a debate against themselves rather than as actual conversation partners.

This may make them appear unreliable, but in reality no one is more enthusiastic and capable of spotting a problem, drilling through the endless factors and details that encompass the issue and developing a unique and viable solution than Logicians – just don’t expect punctual progress reports. People who share the Logician personality type aren’t interested in practical, day-to-day activities and maintenance, but when they find an environment where their creative genius and potential can be expressed, there is no limit to the time and energy Logicians will expend in developing an insightful and unbiased solution.

I highlighted the parts which are very true to me.

Suggestions / Re: Postponing Vice War 8 Suggestions
« on: January 07, 2019, 06:26:13 am »
Why making a so complex Server? Make this Vice War like the past ones (VW 3 - VW 6): simple but entertaining and enjoyable; no hard scripts, with the original map of Vice City (If I'm not wrong this Vice War is aimed to happen in a Custom Map).
This ViceWar is supposed to be more like past ones. "Simple" it's truly relative as it was never a simple script I believe, regardless of the gamemode. Actually the map has a fair progress and detached from the server development, precisely the script part is the culprit.

The division of the tasks made it so that each sector can work independently.

News and Announcements / Re: VU is 10 Years Old

I enjoy reading Charley's posts as they're never banal, and pregnant of history and insight. You get kudos from me for describing all these heroes with well tailored words yet caught them in their true essences. A lengthy applause to these people for their work throughout the years and the effort put into the foundation of what we rest our paws on now.

Veteran - my VC:MP soulmate. What can I say dude? You're the VUest of them all. Your ability to not get wrapped up in all the drama bullshit, and just play the god damn game, has always brought us down to earth. Many of us sometimes forget that VC:MP is supposed to be a fun shooting game, you never do. Consistently one of the friendliest, most skillful and admirable members of this community.

Ferrari32 - much like Veteran, you serve as a constant reminder to just shut the fuck up and play. You give an old school edge to clan discussions and plays, cutting through bullshit with hardline stances informed by sharp insight. I've been particularly impressed with your habit of choosing a few trainees who a lot of people don't have faith in, but seeing something in them, and guiding them in the right direction. You will defend them against the rest of the clan, and usually you are right. You can spot talent where others can't.

These two in particular strike me significantly as, to my own perception of them, I feel like a better description could have not been written.

Veteran - the one who unawarely weighed down the most on my change of mind which resulted in my application here, and ironically hasn't been around time before I joined. What influenced me was his positive attitude in game: never raging, always spreading good mood, yet a good fighter and smart motherfucker that didn't lack the ability to respond at people with witty comebacks.

Ferrari32 - The one whom I wasn't particularly fond of in terms of attitude. It took me way long to realise beneath his coarseness and straight-to-the-point attitude there is more: a man loyal to the core and generous to those who deserve it. Nonetheless the only VU captain, and with time I also learnt to appreciate his hardline, understood a person like him is absolutely needed in the family and can't imagine his place being anywhere else.

I cheer for you all underdogs. Happy new year, happy 10 years anniversary and last but not least O0

It's too early to say that, many people still haven't applied, and you know what? I have the feeling once they will it will result in the exact opposite.
