READ THIS: Ladder Information and Rules
« on: December 02, 2010, 10:36:43 am »
The VC:MP Ladder is an ongoing competition between VC:MP players, showing a list of some of VC:MP's best fighters.

The way it works
Players may chose to challenge the person above them in the ladder, for their spot. If they win their duel then they move up, and the loser moves down. If you are not on the ladder, you challenge one of the people in last place. There are 20 spots on the ladder, with room for one player on spots 1-17, 2 on 18, 3 on 19 and 4 on 20. To see the ladder go here.

Challenging Players
To challenge a player you must fill out an a challenge in the challenge board, here. For examples of past challenges go here.

Rules

  • If a player loses, they cannot challenge the same opponent until the next day
  • If a player denies a challenge, they automatically lose and move down a spot. If a valid excuse is given they will not, management are the judges of whether the 'challengee' has a good reason.
  • All weapons can be used except spaz, minigun, flamethrower, molotovs, grenades and RPGs.
  • Pings must be <300
  • Matches are to be 2 rounds of 7 fights, with a third if neccesary as a tie breaker
  • If a player is suspected to be breaking a rule, they will be put under 'Fight Watch' and all their fights will have to be refereed until deemed necessary.
  • If a player crashes/times out during a fight, then they lose that fight. (Not the whole match, just that fight)
  • All glitching is allowed

Inactivity Rule

If a player does not respond to a challenge within 2 days, they will automatically lose the challenge. If this happens more than twice in a row, or over a sustained amount of time, they will be kicked out of the ladder and will have to start again at the bottom.

Also, to prevent the ladder becoming stagnant, it will be shuffled up every month or so.

Fights do not have to be viewed by a referee. Once a fight is over, it is the players responsibility to report back the scores on the forum, on their respective challenge topic. If there are any discrepancies then players may be put under 'Fight Watch' (A referee must validate all their future fights).
