Title: Suggestions for improvement.
Post by: [LGN]FAN on December 19, 2018, 10:48:34 am
Our favorite game becomes boring fights. Sometimes held various activities. With your knowledge in scripting and creating servers, you can present a new entertainment system for users.
To date, the popular mode of the Royal battle.
Why not try to implement such a regime?

Separate server where will Hide and Seek, players will be distributed automatically or at will.
Depending on who they want to be.
On the server there should be a mod "hiding Nicknames".
The configuration of the Gravity to set for the high jump, so that players can climb on the objects above them.
I gave you ideas and wait for their implementation.

Thanks.

maddy's server?

DM'ing has become boring, and both MTA/SAMP are gaining fame thanks to their multi-gamemode servers(skydiving, hide n seek, mr.green racing server...)
supported, atleast if something similar happens I would not have to keep yelling in mainchat requesting admins to make race/riddle events

Why, in any humanly possible way, would you try to make a battle royale genre game out of vcmp? You have Fortnite, PUBG, King of Elysium and even Apex Legends now.

VCMP and VC entirely weren't made to be played in that manner. Besides all of that, there's no way you would assembly 100 players to play on the server at the same time. LW hardly hits 50 during it's peak, and stays on 20-30 during the day.

If you would like to experience the battle royale feel, go play Fortnite. Because vcmp will never be able to enable that.

I wouldn't be so quick to throw down limits, which I find to be the general vibe of the developer side of the community. Too many what ifs, cuz understandably, no one wants to put in hours of work just for something not to work out. That's a major reason why VCMP is so stagnant.

Based off of that, the better investment for VCMP to continue is not to try and get developers to make servers, but to educate the community on how to make servers. I know a lot of people are interested, and have many ideas, but they have absolutely no clue where to start. I am one such person.

The good thing about that is that since I'm outside the knowledge base of the coding life (for the most part), I know what I'm looking for from a "I want to be educated" standpoint. The wiki serves its purpose as a reference sheet, those exam review books you study before a major test. You know the field, you know the jargon, you just need a refresher -- VCMP wiki for developers. A review book/material doesn't teach. The community needs a teaching guide along with the wiki. Follow the wiki alone and you may be able to make an entire server without ever seeing the need for a database, let alone hash passwords entered into that database.

Back in 2014/5, I started an initiative around that, writing an eBook for VCMP 0.4, but back then I had no one to work with closely. I want to revive that initiative, as I've gathered good knowledge from all the innovations I've enforced into some of the past Vice Wars.

Double post I'm Gangsta  O0

If anyone wants to support this initiative, this is my plan:

And other stuff that can be covered like custom animations, custom sounds and so on, but this is what is needed, a systematic tutorial guide of this calibur to get everyone interested, actually developing quality servers of their own unique game-mode.

For the longest while I still want a proper racing server, but that requires a map cuz VC map is frankly rubbish for racing with vehicles, plus vehicles need more exciting variables like NOS and tune-ups, else the grid placement that starts and finishes will roughly be the same if no one screws up, hardly a challenge.

Why would you make any gamemode in VCMP at all then? GTA VC wasn't intended for all the gamemodes we have today and I don't see any reason to break it's limits and hope for the best. Yes I understand that player count is a problem but you can adjust the game mode.

Several gamemodes can be easily included in game like deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag etc. which can be optimized for a game such as vcmp. But if you were to adjust a battle royale gamemode in vcmp which is usually consisted of 100 players, would you still be able to call it a "battle royale"?

there are countless players from this community that are still stuck on with this game and can't even afford a proper / decent computer even at the actual hour on the advanced era of tech
