Title: VU:EAF 6:4
Post by: Charley on September 24, 2011, 12:42:20 pm
Well it was an interesting match. There was a bit of foul play on both sides, the end showed a complete lack of humility on EAF's side but there we go. I suggest we only give the rcon pass to a couple of independant referees next time, so people don't use it to fuck around.

Anyway, there was some nice fighting in amongst the bullshit and I actually enjoyed it. Good game EAF.

Also - Big thanks to Morphine, he was been invaluable in the whole process

I still dont understand 2 rounds... and the last one
DeadStar didnt died
I timed out
we were 3 guys left, AEG was 1, why u gave him the round for a win

And DS died same way, some admin killed him, and its counted as 6-4

Veteran/Knucis were originally supposed to shoot DS down but I misunderstood the sarcasm in the "30 second" shit which was hitherto serious.

The penalty towards EAF in the case of AEG can be explained with Marcell RCON killing AEG without asking whether he should do so or not.

Your timeout was also considered a point to their account and it would've been the same way if the last player in their team timed-out.

This is up to Charleyutton to negotiate on right now. I did as much as fetch you a script and keep track of the scores. I dedicated 16 hours of hard work to helping from my side and my judgement on the Clanwar was just as painstakingly decided upon as the things before it.

I'll come back to this later or tomorrow, don't have time atm.

P.S. I don't think we can play tomorrow, we haven't got enough people who can.

I think it should stay on this one match anyway. It was a friendly match after all so no one can possibly say anything about "we're stronger mashuashuashuashasuh".

VC:CT will show everyone who's boss since that's the most organized clan-related tournament on VC:MP so far.

can we all shut the fuck up and enjoy the game we just had?

after countdown ended i killed aeg - not before, after. next time anyone wants to make jokes, connect me on webcam so i can see if it's sarcasm or not..

either way it was fun after all, shame the bases didn't change each round though. is anyone up for tommorow? perhaps we could choose a 'closed' base, so blips could be disabled as well.

conclusions:
marcell sucks at wallglitching.
when you see someone rambo to distract others, help him ><.
zeke lags.
spiral lags.
choosing same way 3 times in a row isn't a good idea.

I overslept, which was obviously going to happen lmao.

Anyway, Charley what you talking about with EAF not being humble? To save confusion why not keep the rules the same throughout the event. Like Morph mentioned, both sides shouldn't start boasting about winning this round or this round cause in the end it was all meant for fun. We're suppose to be friends so why not take this chance to compliment everyone who was involved?

In conclusion, I think the EAF soldiers did well, despite none of the three leaders being present. Hopefully next time we will actually show up ;D

Klaus, what I mean about EAF not being humble was that on the last match when we were clearly going to win EAFs started spamming the chatbox with all sorts of nonsense. We couldn't see what we were typing to each other as the round was still on. Then someone used a command to end the round prematurely and award the point to EAF, whilst there was still 3 of us and 1 of you.

The difference between this and the round where AEG was the last VU, was that in this case no rcon command was used by us to kill the remaining opponent. Whereas in AEG's case, Marcell used an rcon command to kill him and end the round (cheating = forfeiting the match, that's a standard rule that I think everyone can see eye to eye with).

As Morphine said this was a friendly so we shouldn't care too much, but when I dedicate 2 hours of my life to something, that could be used to do something far more productive, I expect to be treated fairly.

In between the shenanigans there was actually some very nice play, good use of tactics on both sides and a fine show of ability from a clan that I think I underestimated. Well done EAF, well done VU. See you in VCCT bitches.
