The development progress is still running, and we sincerely hope that the event will be spent in 2 weeks. The information regarding the bases will be published soon, and the exact date will be known in 2-3 days.
Special thanks to stormeus, who took an initiative to spend the event on 0.4
And don't be harsh towards the scripters, nobody could have predicted, they'd have issues with their RL. It's however more important than the game.
So stay calm, VW will happen.

Diplomacy
As the event consists of two teams: Reds and Blues. Your clan has to choose a side they'll be playing at during the event. Moving to another team while playing isn't allowed, so better choose carefully a team before the event starts, as you'll not be able to change anything afterwards.
How does diplomacy work
All clans are free of their choice, they decide what clan they're going to play with or against, clan leaders / co-leaders (or management, incase if leader is away) take a responsibility for choosing a team, so if a leader has choosen a team for their clan, the members of this clan will be playing for this team.
Clanless Players
Clanless players apply on their will too, they can do it in the specific topic.

The Gamemode
The gamemode is simple and quite reminding of A/D. You have to kill your opponents from the opposite team, gaining money and points for this. Red and Blue players are invisible for each other, so that makes a lot of risk and adrenaline while playing. You can capture different bases, this time they're seven, bases that your team owns, gives you an advantages, such as 'Sea Sparrow' or discount for heal/weapon purchasing. The aim of the game is to score as many points for your team as possible.
Cash
Players start from $0, but they can earn money by killing players from the opposite team.
Rewards for a kill
Kill: +$100 + 1 one point to the Team score.
Death: -$20
Killing Spree: +$100 x Spree Multiplier
So, a killing spree of 5 gives you 500$, of 10 - 1000$.
Weapons
Weapons can be purchased by /c wep command at the Junkyard. Players can also set spawn weapons, so they receive them on every spawn.
Weapon Prices
All other weapons are free of cost.
New Features
Team Budget
As the players will be divided into the teams, there's a feature, that'll be useful for low-skilled players, that want to help their team but can't because of inability to get some money. So from every kill made by a team, 50$ goes to the Team Budget, and newbies can take the money in the Vice City Bank. Also if some players want, they can themselves deposit into the Team Budget.
Hidden Bonuses
The staff team decided to make some kind of a gift for the players and threw away several tens of weapon and money pickups around the main island, so you could get a set of paid weapons for absolutely free.

The following actions are prohibited and are strictly punishable in case of their violation.
Spamming the main / team chat
Endless flooding the main chat with the message, that contain no sense is prohibited. Players, that do so may be warned, if they don't stop, such an action can cost them a tempban.
Death Evading
Death evading can be called an action that takes away a chance from you to get killed: Qutting by /q infront of an enemy, being knocked down / on low hp level, switching to the VC menu, Alt-tabbing or /kill cmd abuse, all these are punishable with a tempban.
Ban Evading
Ban-evading is strictly prohibited and may end up for you in being permanently banned from the event.
FPS Adjusting
FPS Adjusting above 30 is allowed; however, players that play significantly below the normal FPS level (30fps) can get kicked by the admins.
Using advantageous modifications / 3rd Party Programms
Any modification / programm that changes your vehicles behavior, vice city map, player's weapon behavior and so on, giving you a huge advantage over the rest of players is not allowed and is punishable with a permanent ban from the event. However you're still allowed to use graphic mods, that don't either change or remove your ingame textures / make them invisible.
Ghost City
Ghost city is also prohibited and any player, that'll be caught on using it will be banned for 4 hours without any warning, player that does it again after being unbanned gets a permanent ban from the event.
Wall-glitching
Wall-glitching is allowed, however only in the places, that are accessible by foot (sprint, jump).
Sliding
Sliding isn't allowed and may result in a warn, if a player still continues to slide, they'll be tempbanned.
Hacking Game-Accounts
Joining the server with an another player's nickname is forbidden and may get you kicked, an attempt to log in into admin's account will end up for you in being permanently banned from the event.
Rocket-glitching
Fast switching with rocket launcher, Rocket-glitching are both forbidden and everyone who's caught on it will be tempbanned.
Heli-Killing
Heli-killing is allowed, when not under ground, ignoring of this rule may cause a tempban for you.
Multi-Accounting
An attempt to fool the staff and register two or more accounts in-game, from several accounts on the VU forums can cost you a disqualification from the event.
Abusing administrative power
Any report with administrators abusing their own power can be posted and reviewed by the staff at the Reports board. Admin, whose abusing of power will be proven, will lose his admin level.

This topic is made for familirization with the event, and contains the basic information about it.
About ViceWar
Vicewar is a global mass team death match event for VC:MP presented by the Vice Underdogs clan, it lasts 24 hours, what is comfortable for all timezones to participate.
The Match
Players, that participate in the event are divided into two teams and a team that scores the largest amount of points during the day becomes a winner of Vice War.
The Teams
There are only two teams: Red Team and Blue Team. There is no limit on number of players. Both teams can bring up as many players as possible. Participants get to choose their team at the beginning of the event through diplomacy. To know more about diplomacy, visit the Diplomacy board.
The Players
Everyone is invited to participate in the event as long as they are eligible. All clans can participate and choose their team. Players who are not in any clan can participate as well. Since the events is 24 Hours long, players can enter the server at any time of the day. They can leave, rejoin the server as they wish, their achievements, statistics and points scored for the team won't be reset. All that matters is how many points they earn for their team when they are online.
The Points
Points are earned by killing opposite team members. Each kill rewards the team one point. At the end of the day, all the points are summarized and the winner is announced.
