Had the permissions randomly changed?

But seriously Charley. This could be true. This particular SMF version is not very popular, but still has some exploits and dangerous SQL injections exist. I suggest upgrading to a newer version. Or updating it with the newest security patch for this version which came out 2 months ago. Cheers for safety ;D

The forums are always up to date at the latest stable version. Those 2.0 versions kinda sucks :(
