It seems like a flop so far imo. Maybe re-do it at a later date with more balanced teams, blue got absolutely demolished immediately. Also server problems, lags and crashes being very common. Even the scoreboard got reset in a crash at around 3 am. Map needs polishing as well, too many suicides/drowns/fell to death.

Indeed, but the server and map seemed smooth to me overall (in terms of performance) but ofcourse it needs some polishing.
one thing that I see worth considering is the steep cliff right in front of red team base, which is a huge disadvantage for us, given the time loss and difficulties getting up that cliff.
