Have you guys every thought about making a mobile site for VU? ive always wanted that and it could be in handy for clan members especially those who live in a third world country like myself where technology and speed is limited. Could keep intouch alot easier as well

arite like for example facebook and youtube. it has a mobile site to maximize its audience and/or versatility for usage. IRC would more be an app but thats another story

its a dumb-down site that can work well for feature phones and old smartphone tech so it doesnt stress the phone loading a full paged site like this.

its just to be used for the essentials like posting messages and so on. its not going to be a 100% mirror of the main site

SMF already has a mobile mode,no?
I always view it in mobile mode and normal mode too.
Or if i am mistaken,it is formatted for mobile view by google.

For low end mobiles: it directly formats to mobile view,as the phones cannot handle it.
For high end mobiles: you have to scroll down at the bottom,and there will be a thingy saying "Google: View in Mobile View"

hmm, well idk, maybe ive been in mobile view b4 but missed it. But im sure of one thing though, its hard to find shit scrolling through an old mobile phone on here. everything's not formatted right and jus simply fucked up lol. So im still vouching for mobile site

Please.. any modern smart phone with a good connection & a decent browser can handle the VU forum just fine.

your missing my point. yes that is true and ill take a better look into things with vet's post cuz i havent done a recent test to even prove myself this current day but not everyone has a smartphone and even if they do, the speed over a mobile connection to back it up is weak especially in 3rd world countries like here. I am yet to get a smartphone myself but connection speeds her still suck. U'd laugh at "3G" here. And Eddy is an example why we might need such an implement IF he has troubles (and a dumb phone).
As another addition, its might be beneficial to mobile network billings as well. My service charges like 1 cent per KB on prepaid and postpaid. Loading the full essence of the site browsing and shit might be costly

1) Our forum has tapatalk enabled if you can get the app.
2) if your phone has a common browser (im not very sure what browsers are working) you will get the layout veteran posted.
3) and if those still fail, you can add ?wap2 to the forums address (like this: http://vu.vrocker-hosting.co.uk?wap2 (http://vu.vrocker-hosting.co.uk?wap2) )
Let me know of any other methods I may add ;)

loading the full site froze ma phone lol but the wap2 option works like what i wanted. Good work thijn, though is it possible to login in tht? maybe i wasnt looking well
nevermind i found it. a better question would be if you can edit that to have that vu colour scheme? it all looks like simple html coding, even i could do that

Offtopic: How did you take screenshot of onscreen stuff? (any idea how to do it on ipod touch 3gs)?

You just press together the only two buttons iphone has- the on and the off buttons. : D
(If not, Google it :) )
