Title: Base Suggestions

Ok so we're looking for suggestions on where the bases should be in the next event.

Things to consider - How close the 2 bases are, how many points of access they have and how easy it is to defend the base centre.

Here's a few I thought of:
Haiti drug compound
South mall
Vercetti Mansion
Prawn drug mansion
Film Studio


Here's a few we've denied:
North point mall
Malibu club
Printworks

I would say:
1.Prawn drug mansion
2.Haiti drug compound

Imo, both pickups should be very hard to pick....

Team blue:
House in Prawn (the one with interior)
Pickup should be present at the 1st floor balcony, ppl have to make a jump to get there (Klaus knows what im talking about :D )

Team Red: The ship in Viceport.
Pickup should be on the wires....a jump needs to be made to get there.
This one is also very hard to pick.

I hate malls, the problem he's closed and maybe everyone hates the closed places (maybe )
the drugs places are cool way to set the pickups it's hard to enemy to pick it up

I don't think malls or inside areas would be good, as someone could simply camp near the door and start doing pre-fire when someone's about to enter inside, making it impossible to enter without dieing. :-\

As I said in the first post, North Point Mall has been denied. This is for a couple of reasons, one of which being that there is no air access.

aXXo, with the new pickup system I think it's actually a case of trying to find somewhere that the pickup isn't too easy to defend. It's going to be very hard to score using the pickup now, it's only really going to be possible through teamwork. However the reward is higher.

The downtown complex is nice Klaus but there is no ground access. I can't help but feel flaws/balance tippers with all the bases I think of. E.g. Whilst Haiti drug compound is great, it's a bit too easy, relatively speaking, to defend imo. My personal ideal would be to find one that is equal in terms of difficulty to defend as haiti drug compound.

the guardian angels carpark. They're pretty similar but not exactly the same. whether you put it on the top/middle floor doesn't bother me

No roofs please.
People would keep guarding the (loading) door shooting with spaz and stubby (crouch glitch).
the only way we can raid the base is by heli wich are easly shoted down with m60. Plus there arent that many helis.

i think junkyard and film studio will be two cool bases to defend coz there are lot places to hide so snipingcan be easily done

Hmm I think you're right SaM, junkyard and Film Studio would be cool. I think we'd have to block off the sea-side entrance to the Film Studio though, as there would be too many points of entry, which would be an unfair advantage.

We could perhaps block off one of the road side entries as well. (It's easily done with a couple of barracks OLs)

Barracks after a while, starts respawning in their orginal spawn, unless you put them to spawn there from the begining, but they're still not that hard to get rid of and it will have sync issues for some ppl for example: i can see the barracks on my screen but theres someone else that can't, so that person can just pass trough it, I have seen it happen in this last vice war.  :-X

The barracks would be set to spawn there, it would be stuck inside the walls so no one can move it.

How about we let both teams choose their own base, vehicle spawns and player spawns.
They can select whatever suits them.
With simple rules: like, no place selection that is non-accessible etc.

Junkyard and Film studio are the most balanced bases, if we let teams choose their own they'd choose ones that aren't balanced so as to try and give themselves advantage. A couple of us on irc have discussed it and decided Film Studio and Junkyard are they two most balanced and suitable bases.

Edit- As Junkyard has 2 entrances, 1 of which you can get a car through and Film Studio has 3, 2 of which you can get a car through, we are going to block off the far road entrance of the film studio.
