Its really cancerous as lilamar mentioned
im against these applications, these kinds of applications proved to be so addictive that made things go far behind the red lines in many countries (including mine) , many accidents happend here because of this app , idk if its still allowed here but in my opinion every country should prevent this kind of shit; some people can control them self but those are the minority’s but on the other hand the rest will be addicted to it, and you know what addiction means and how harmful it can be.
Indeed, just on the Wikipedia page about Pokemon GO you can see an article dedicated only to the accidents that happened to players playing the game. It's true, no denying that happened, but you should also consider the fact (I don't know if you played the game) that the developer puts a disclaimer to stay aware of your surroundings, not to trespass in someone's private property or even playing the game while driving. Furthermore, it even says in Niantic's Terms of Service that it's a direct violation of their rules. So, all in all, the consumers are those who are responsible after all, but I understand your point of view.
Regarding the "cancerous shitty game", I don't know how much are you familiar with the Pokemon franchise. Basically, Pokemons were my childhood. OUTSIDE and
WALK which is very important to me since I rarely do any physical activity. I'd much rather to go out for a walk and maybe catch some Pokemon and I think Niantic made a really good job there.
Even though I started two weeks after the game released here in Croatia, I am still level 32, had a bit of an on-off relation with the game. Team Instinct for the win
