The conclusion that I get from Krystianoo is that whoever takes the responsibility over this action(devs included), It still might not be the best idea to just leave it to the people that has to take decisions for this with no given evidence or examination methods. I can agree to this part. Its always open to dabate for trusting anyone's administration experience. Because everyone have a different glimpse of what they see before them even though they agree in the end for a specific reason.

But then you should realize that it's a community driven game mod. None of these developers work at Rockstar Games. They're just trusted people to run things.Push updates etc. Same for admins. They have to be trusted to take these decisions and move on. As I said, administration experience for everyone is always open to discussion. But someone has to do it if this will take the community anywhere better. Later on, you see the results and make another discussion if it's necessary.Interrupting an attempt to solution with "if"s and "what about"s is just waste of the time. What Gangsta does with these evidences is reasonable.

Good luck with your work Gangsta.

I just went through all of the comments. And I completely agree that its not open to debate for such a deal. But also you guys are going too much over Morphine.I'm not saying it just because he can't take that all,in fact he can. That's just his point of stand from his very character over VCMP.That's why he's a different mind, and also thats why people have servers with different rules and playerbase. He does what he believes is more efficient. It doesnt make him any bad.You just cant force people to change their opinions.

So server managers/scripters are going to do whatever they like. Most of them will take actions regarding the major opinions given here and some of them will make deals with the hackers. And I believe that's okay.Because we also have VCMP devs that would definetely work for the betterment of anti-cheat.So everybody is going to move on.

I strongly recommend an account system to login the client and open VCMP.And some client-sided updates.Like the verification of files before opening the game.

Tbh there should be more thought into this system, thus far it's causing issues.

I guess those VW keys are probably being generated from a hash function and goes directly to valid keys table without one-to-one relation(Means those keys are not matched to a single user when generated and sent to database and categorized for the group). So I can use a key which was sent to another person and this key belongs to me since I matched it to myself. If that's the case, its quite bad.

Yes,GangstaRas.I didnt mean to ruin your work.I know all I can do is talk. But you are the one who took the responsibility and I appreciate that.Because not everybody is able to successfully pull this off.So it's good for you to recieve opinions to go on.So if we're okay with that,I'd like to continue to explain.

First, the problem is not "flags".Everyone out here can find a way to make them as we're not in 90s.There tons of websites to create your own logo with given tools for free.

The problem is not with the numbers(weapon costs, flag renewal time etc.).Because it will always be unbalanced and balanced for one to other. You just cant please everybody. You know how to find a middle ground.

The problem also is not about how many gangs would be created and how many people would be on the roster.I agree with everything you said about this.

However, what I find as flaws are basically belongings and recruitment.

While it was not a thing to recruit people, everyone except the black list was able to apply to the teams where they felt more comfortable and there were no denying them.Because as I said before,Everyone is able to join that specific event.

But with that recruitment , it's up to a group leader or a management circle to decide either the player is in or out. It's not cool for someone who just started to play VCMP and found out there is a massive event going on,or someone who is hated by everyone, someone who is the only active member in his/her clan and cant feel comfortable within any other group or someone like me who is retired but seeks out for these very special events but nobody know him :( .

I really hope this works out and I be damned.Untill then, good luck to all the staff members.

Im quite surprised about the group of people you're considering me into.Even though this was not a negative point,I merely pointed to the fact there could be flaws for the uncategorized people you might have not considered for the potential of playercount and the fun.I will reply or edit this post to elaborate on that more when I have time.

These gang rules are just way off of a Vice War in general.I always thought it meant a massive fight between two teams and that's how it's done in all events. This does not help smaller groups of people let alone clanless players and definetely not fun.

MIMO btw you shouldn't use WIFI for gaming if you want a stable connection.

However, do you use windows 10 ? :D

yes windows 10 too
ill start using ethernet, but i dont want to reset to windows 7, i have too many data i dont wanna lose

If this started happening since installing Windows 10, then:

In order to insure that you don't have high ping with Windows 10 you must turn off "Update from more than one place". You can find this in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update Advanced Options, Choose how updates are delivered, and then switch to off.

Actually just turn off Windows Update I think.

I dont have any problems with that option. It never causes any ping spikes unless it starts downloading the update.

Its most likely about the area you are at.Something must have interfered with the connection.I would suggest you to make sure you reach out to the full capacity of your internet speed (cables) and check your modem.Modems are usually the blame for such things.

I know what you're talking about, its just like 0.3 where if you get bumped in someone, that player would have a bumping animation and stop there for a second with hands in punching action. and other player would shoot from a distance. this is really annoying because you get stuck and can't move until that animation gets completed.
Adding another point, you can't jump to cancel that animation while you can cancel most of the animations even fall animation.

I dont know if thats the same as 0.4.I also recall doing that with crouching.

I read the post of stormeus thoroughly and god...Now something fits in its place of mind.

As far as I understood,The term "synch animations" is different here. It holds the information of what key you're pressing at that time in an array and lets client animate according to this information. So what we see is still our client but animating with the keystrokes related to each player.

And due the nature of Vice City, you can actually break animations with spacebar and crouch. Now consider how much information it can miss with how FPS is working here.Thats why we see players sliding while they're just breaking the animations and moving on.

Finally these all above combining with latency (ping),its all just an huge fucking mess happening right there. Now it makes sense why LW s disabled 60 FPS and crouching is not allowed.Maybe we should just stop being butthurt about it and hope for the best. They are doing something even Rockstar avoided doing.Kudos to y'all developers out there.

I will have some of my concerns about the dm but first I really like to know something.

Can you explain in full depth the way how client and the server keeps themselves updated in VC-MP servers? How often is that  happening during in-game?Is the "packet loss" actually reliable ?
