VC:MP General / Re: Best CW/Match/VCDC/Vicewar you have seen or played

Juan's comments are not entirely empty accusations. There was plenty of reason for controversy over Koray's title, as Juan has already explained, but Koray was the champion and no one is disputing that especially not 10 years after. Do keep in mind though that many people were questioning it, not just Juan. Juan is right to feel hard done by, as anyone would losing a final by such small margins.

If you watch sport, you'd know that most teams or players who narrowly lose a final will say the other team "got lucky". That's not showing disrespect to the opposition, but a sign of confidence that you need at the top level to be successful and bounce back from defeat.

the best and most intense match i have ever seen in this game was the VCCT2 Final ULK 9-8 VU.
Indeed, that final was probably one of the closest A/D matches I've ever witnessed. Although we lost that Semi-final, I remember it being quite close thanks mainly to Denlow and Avenger but VU took a deserved victory. Both the final teams were top notch but ULK were undefeated champions at the time. From what I remember, youself and Gudio joined VU for the sole purpose of wanting to beat ULK, and when ULK eventually won there was a lot of drama afterwards where I seem to remember you saying you were going to leave VCMP forever after losing that final.... lol

For myself, I think winning the XAD League is probably my sweetest memory. Partly because it was my first A/D title, but mainly for it being such an achievement to win against top quality opposition such as TRC (Morphine, MetaLord, etc), VU (Veteran, Eddy, etc), and of course the toughest being DnA (Gudio, Avenger, etc). There were also MK, TZ, and others. That EAF squad of myself, Kessu, Marcell, Rapture, Alarba, Brian, and Tony was probably EAF at it's peak.

Other than that I've had many great A/D matches over the many years. The EAD League was probably the longest tournament in VCMP history, and extremely controversial for all the wrong reasons. That being said it hosted some brilliant matches that will live long in the memory, for example the match against SWAT (the one of only two matches that team ever played). The victories in both EAD championship finals are also highlights, shoutout to Kody, Silent, Alarba, Krys, Blitz, and Gynla.

But Vice War 2, maybe because of nostalgia but its still my fav Vice War. It made me appreciate chaos. I was at the Junkyard and man the mayhem at that localized spot. For some reason I don't remember nades, but I do remember Sea Sparrow and RPG.
I think you're getting your memories mixed up mate. Vice War 2, although very chaotic, didn't have the Sea Sparrow. That was first introduced in Vice War 3. I agree though that the Junkyard being the only 1 of 2 bases made it increasingly hectic having around 30 players fighting within such a small space. My fondest memory of that scene being setting people on fire with a flame thrower.

With regards to Vice War though, a lot of them have their ups and downs. Havana Hazard and Lost in Liberty are probably my favorites. 1 was good but the script had bugs and the CP checkpoint didn't always work. 2 was good but there was some lag issue at the Movie Studio because someone decided to spawn six trucks all on top of each other which caused some desync fuckery to happen. 3 was good but felt a little too spaced out and lacked that chaotic feel, hence I managed to get 100 kills and 10 deaths. 4 was good at the beginning, but then it became boring quickly. HH was good because it kept my attention for most of the day and I felt the teams were a little more balanced than the previous two, as well as the money extortion feature. LIL was very entertaining as well with it's map and new boss feature.

Also shout out to IT clan, the weirdest bunch of misfits out there. Back then it was a lesser known clan, but nowadays it sounds too damn legendary. A clan comprising of Morphine, Marcell (Reaper), Stormeus, Zeke, Shadow/heekzs and me.. All fucking legends
How could you miss out Huntsman from that list? ;D

I wouldn't worry about that ripmemes, the only thing he offended was his own intelligence. Nonetheless, I'm sure Zaim is able to pick himself up.

@Doom_Killer, you continue to defy science I'll give you that much. You really shouldn't be breathing with that level of salt intake and I'd begin to worry if I were you. If you've got something to say about Argonath, you're more than welcome to use the unban request section, you know, the one you're more than familiar with. Otherwise, please refrain from talking nonsense on forums where your not-so-good history on Argonath is rather irrelevant.

@Zaim I have absolutely no idea who you are, but congratulations on making yourself look as thick as two planks!

Thank you aXXo, Krystianoo, and rest of the VW9 Staff for making this event happen. It was quite possibly the best VW to date.

I'm not really a fan myself of modifying the gameplay in such a way. It would make it different to what we are all accustomed to and have been playing/learning/training/whatever leading up to the event. Though if it proves popular then I'll go with the majority.

1. Have you removed the annoying jitter script that kicks players with a perfectly fine connection?

2. Will you disallow spawnkilling this time?

Littlewhitey's is currently [and has been] the breeding ground for many players, which is why it receives my vote.
I could say the same thing for Argo, which is why it receives my vote.

The issue is due to folder/directory settings. On top of what Punk mentioned, refer to below link that may help:

Maybe as a Staff member, you could show a little more courtesy? This is a genuine report, not a playground.

Suggestions / Re: The Lag Hour
« on: December 16, 2018, 06:29:54 pm »
Opposite to what you wrote in your last post, I meant to say that most of our community is composed by laggers (according to the pings, the fps, and the way the sync is affected by the two) so 300ms as a ping limit it's still too high VC:MP-wise to define this competitive in my opinion.
We have to put a limit somewhere, and we voted last VW whereabouts that limit should be. The majority agreed that 300ms is most fitting and anything beyond that is unplayable. Most competitive events have also followed similar limitations, such as EAD events.

This is a competitive event, I'm not sure why you would think that it's not? It's one of the biggest and most competitively fought events of the VC:MP calender where both teams fight to win. It is about winning too, it's not sandbox like your usual TDM servers. As a result, we have to try and make the event as fair as possible to ALL players. There is always going to be complications where you get players with 15 ping against players with 250, but we can set a limit and try our best to enforce a fair-playing field for everyone.
