Sharks Vs Marios is a new server set to be released on 1st July. It has been in development for around a year now by myself and a couple of others.
It is set only on Prawn Island. There are two teams, the Sharks and the Marios. It is a concentrated brawl similar to that of the old LW downtown brawls.
Features:
- XP system. The more kills you get, the more XP you gain. You level up when you gain certain amounts of XP and then gain a new rank every 5 levels. With every new rank comes a reward, things like cheaper weapons and more access to tele-pickups (I'll get back to that later). Other high end rewards include car ownership
- Challenge system. Fancy doing a 1v1? Use /c challenge <id> and if your opponent accepts, you will both be teleported to a 1v1 location away from Prawn Island.
- Pickups. There are 2 different types of pickup littered around Prawn Island. The first are simple weapon pickups, the harder they are to find the better the weapon is going to be. The second is tele-pickups. These teleoport you up and down from roofs and places inaccessible by foot. Level 1 players have access to around 50% of these tele-pickups, but the higher your level, the more access you gain.
For this server to work, there are a few fundamental things that myself and the team
are going to try and provide:
- Capable Active Administration - this is the foundation to any good server. Without admins
and without admin continuity, servers fall apart. - A voice to the community - We aim to listen to all suggestions and adapt the server to
suit what the majority want. This is not going to be a "this is how the server is, if you
don't like it then fuck off" kind of affair. - New additions - We are periodically gonna introduce new things to the script to keep it
fresh, so that you'll always have something new to play for. Expect script version updates.
- A clan friendly server - to grow a community, clans are essential. We intend to introduce
features for use by clans and also clan discussion boards on this forum. The more
competition, the better.
