I really appreciate the support guys :). Although not all of you reported back here that you voted, I definitely could tell a good bunch of you came out to support my friend; you guys profile pictures standout from the typical Jamaican :P. Thanks a lot for the support so far.

The competition ends 23 of August 4:59 GMT so if anyone's reading and thought you missed it, well now I've answered that question. Thank you guys :)

There has probably never been a topic like this one in the history of this clan but I request your help from the broad community my friends, my fellow clan members, and VC:MP players.

In Jamaica currently, there's a competition called "Story of Excellence" where the president, CEO, leaders etc. write a short summary of how over the course of a charity's/community organization's life have impacted the lives of others in a positive manner.

Such are the stories is from my friends named Jordan Bennett. He is the founder of the "Feeding of the 5000" Outreach Foundation. He made his charity at age 17 back in 2012 and his goal was well...to feed 5000 people. Over the 3 years he has passed that goal and has fed at least 6000 Jamaicans across the island. His highly noble efforts at such an age has made him iconable figure and he has been awarded the Prime Ministers Youth Award in the category of Youth in Service as well as other awards.

If you ask me, personally I don't like the idea of having to win a sponsor but such is the way of this world where no matter how noble, how selfless and caring you are, money determines your actions & impact in some way but I digress. I ask that all of you who have Facebook accounts, take the time to vote for his story so that he has a chance of winning the monetary funds he needs to keep up the charity; share and spread the word if you wish. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have one final word though regarding this and this is especially for the younger folks in the community currently. I've been here for a lot of years and the one thing I can assure you as a life lesson is that that old saying of what goes around comes around, you reap what you sow? Be kind and virtuous to everyone you meet because you never know when or how you're going to need their help. Even if you don't receive any help, be humble & never stop because good does come back if you hold the faith.

I thank you.

Swiss Knockout Stage (ENDED) / Re: Round 3 Results
« on: August 11, 2015, 05:45:47 pm »
Player: [DZ]Noori
Opponent: [DnA]Abdi
Results: 2-1 [DZ]Noori; 4-1, 4-1, 2-3
Winner: [DZ]Noori
Screenshots (for proof):
Comments (if any): a good game but it made me wonder if a negotiation on using the US server to even out the difference in pings would have benefited Abdi (he was 30 while Noori was 200); the fight was more one-sided than I expected. For future matches, players should give this some thought I believe.

Accepted Applications / Re: Application - SameerM
« on: July 24, 2015, 03:19:41 pm »
Me and Sameer had a long talk about this probably about a month ago by now. He's been interested in joining this clan since 2013; back then no one knew him, fine. What I didn't understand is all these recent attempts in the year, he keeps getting denied for the same thing generally, that he should know more VUs. I've observed that he's been trying to get involved with VU members ingame to the point where some outsiders in game have tried to get under his skin calling him VU asslicker and other crap. He didn't ask/beg of me to vouch for him, I just wanted to understand why he keeps getting denied for that? Is it his approach or are we to blame? Do we want to know him?

In terms of maturity, I put him on the calmer side, I wouldn't say he's quite up there though, still on the kid side to me the last time we spoke but definitely on the calmer side that I'd work with him so I vote trainee.

VC:MP General / Re: Playing VC:MP the wrong way
« on: July 17, 2015, 11:22:04 pm »
Just had time to play a bit. Was fun at times, but most of the time you get spammed at with an m4 to the head and see m60 bullets flying everywhere from rooftops.
I do feel like there's certain players that like the old killing eachother a few versus a few. Just like it used to be. But then that other teammate comes around the corner guns blazing...

You went ingame? Good crap and I missed it lol. That would've been the million dollar picture of the year right there

I wish you the best in your path that you have chosen. Even with the mistake, you will not be seen as a stranger here, at least not from me; do remember that. So I'll say "see you later" instead

General Discussion, Betting, and Questions / Re: Winner forecast
« on: July 15, 2015, 06:27:16 pm »

I think this situation falls into that problem I was talking about on my first post. We probably can't have a sync that works best for both laggers and low pingers. 0.3's sync seemed to be more balanced but the result of that was ghost shots all over the place. To be honest I don't think they're capable of fixing this, although I wish they could fix it, but I don't really see how. It'd be interesting to see how this is handled if they decide to try and fix it.

How I see one SA:MP server handle this is through the aim. Idk how they do it (maybe a reverse engineer of aimbotting, idk) but they seem to sync position of the crosshairs from a player so that even if his ping is 500+, this sync will still makes his shots register where the player intented to aim. If that was implemented in the VC:MP world, it would turn a world of wanky & glitchy moves cuz the body of the player is still lagging so what happens is that if the body is facing away from you, the gun shots are bending from muzzle and registering hitting you. Imagine that in the fast combat of VC:MP

If I could rate Newk's post higher......couldn't agree more. Now I'm not the best player out there nor do I have the best ping (150s for Europe) but I have similar issues that Newk described. From my perspective the sync from my ping to a lower pinger seems somewhat the same although before, lets say I'm facing someone 80 and under I didn't have to lead aim for them, as it is now, even if it's 20 ping I still have to have a slight lead aim.

For high pingers, I'd say 200 and over, something's just not right. Sometimes you could have such beautiful timing, you predicted their position flawlessly, your shot came out before they settled at that position and the delay between your shot and the summated ping delay of you and your opponent seems just right for all of this to work out for you, and the shot just didn't do one thing. I mean that kind of happened in 0.3 days but its far too often now in 0.4. Is it just the sole difference of fps perhaps? no warp if they're running at 30 fps but if you're too fast @60fps your shot wont register? like a Call of Duty scenario
